1) Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the website or services.
2) Services
Academic Perfection provides academic support services, including (but not limited to):
- Proofreading and language editing
- Plagiarism checking (similarity screening and ethical guidance)
- Manuscript reviewing (reviewer-style feedback)
- Manuscript formatting (journal/style alignment)
- Statistical analysis support (based on client-provided data)
- Academic visuals (graphical abstracts, posters, slides)
- Scientific video editing
Scope clarity: We provide presentation, language, formatting, and support services. We do not provide guarantees of publication, acceptance, funding, grades, or academic outcomes.
3) Ethical Use and Academic Integrity
You agree not to use our services for unethical purposes. We reserve the right to refuse service where we believe the request involves academic misconduct, including (without limitation):
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Plagiarism or deceptive paraphrasing intended to misrepresent originality
- Ghost authorship or improper authorship practices
- Any request intended to violate institutional or journal policies
4) Quotes, Orders, and Turnaround Times
- Quotes are based on word count, complexity, service type, file condition, and deadline.
- Turnaround times are estimates unless explicitly confirmed in writing.
- Rush services may incur additional fees and depend on availability.
5) Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information (word count, deadline, journal requirements)
- Provide complete and readable files
- Ensure you have the right to share submitted documents and data
- Review deliverables carefully before submission and take responsibility for final content
6) Deliverables and Revisions
Deliverables may include tracked changes, clean copies, checklists, formatted files, statistical outputs, visual files, and/or edited videos depending on the service purchased.
Reasonable revisions: If you request revisions within a reasonable time after delivery (e.g., within 7–14 days) and within the original scope, we will make reasonable adjustments. Requests that change scope (new sections, new files, new journal targets, additional analyses, major restructuring) may require a new quote.
7) Editing/Proofreading Certificates (QR-Coded)
Upon request, we provide an editing/proofreading certificate for eligible services. Our certificates may include a QR code and verification details intended to support institutional documentation and certain submission requirements.
Important: A certificate confirms that language/proofreading support was provided; it does not certify scientific validity, authorship, originality, or guarantee acceptance by any journal, institution, or reviewer.
8) Confidentiality
We treat your files and communications as confidential and use them only to provide the requested services. We do not publish or distribute your content without your permission. For operational delivery, your information may be processed by trusted service providers (e.g., hosting, email, forms, messaging).
9) Intellectual Property
- You retain all ownership rights to the content you provide (manuscripts, data, figures).
- We retain rights to our internal workflows, templates, and original design components we create unless otherwise agreed.
- Upon full payment, you receive the deliverables for your intended academic and professional use.
10) Payments, Fees, and Taxes
Fees are due as agreed in your quote/invoice. Payment methods and terms may vary by service and region. You are responsible for any taxes, bank fees, or transfer charges unless otherwise stated.
11) Refunds and Cancellations
Because services involve time and labor:
- Work may begin once a project is confirmed and/or payment is received (as applicable).
- If you cancel after work begins, refunds (if any) may be partial and proportionate to work completed.
- Completed work is generally not refundable.
12) Disclaimers
- We do not guarantee journal acceptance, reviewer outcomes, grades, institutional approval, or funding decisions.
- Our services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
- You remain responsible for final submission decisions and compliance with journal/institution policies.
13) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Academic Perfection will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or opportunities arising from use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
14) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Academic Perfection harmless from claims arising out of your use of the services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law/journal/institution policy.
15) Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may link to third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp, payment processors). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
16) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The Effective Date will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the website or services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
